Today is world osteoporosis day!
Osteoporosis is a common type of bone disease in women.
Just keeping the Medical facts aside, all I can say is that this disease can be kept at bay by:
- Eating a balanced meal including a good portion of fruits and veggies. Here is something I read the other day.
Balanced meal would be a mix of colours on your plate : white rice, Brown chapattis, red tomato, yellow dal, green leafy veggies. Other inclusions are bonus benefits.
- Maintaining a healthy body weight
- Being physically active
- this disease generally attacks after the age of 45 so start taking that extra care by Increasing your intake of calcium and vitamin D after you hit 30 .
