I know how annoying it can be when your baby is unwell. Sad part is they never know how to express their troubles to you. Other than the medication it’s a good idea to try out some simple home remedies.
As babies don’t know how to blow their nose, we need to help them clear the congestion. So here are some tried and tested home remedies. Do let me know what you do. Please consult your doctor before trying any of these.
Steam inhalation: You can buy a steamer or simply heat water and put your baby on your lap and make her inhale the steam. Place a cloth over both your heads. Be sure to close her eyes.
Nasal aspirator and drops: Babies find it very difficult to breastfeed with their nose blocked. So put saline drops in their nose before feed. Saline drops is simple salt water you get it everywhere. Then for severe blocks use a nasal aspirator or nasal bulb, just press it place it near the nostril and release. It sucks in all the mucous.

Herbal teas:
Heat water and put a few tulsi or basil leaves in it. Feed the water to your baby.
Heat water and add 1-2 cloves in it after water is removed from flame. After sometime feed your baby this water.
Heat ajwain leaves in water and feed your baby this water.
Aroma therapy: Since we cannot use balms and vapor rubs on babies it’s a good idea to add a few drops of these around the room. You can add few drops of eucalyptus drops around your bed.
