Limited Intake
- Cereals and pulses
- Maida and rava
- Fruits 100 gms- 1 fruit/few pieces a day
- fruits like guava, watermelon, orange, papaya, apple, sweetlime, melon
- Milk less than half liter
- Refined oil- 3-4 tsp per day
- Non veg only once a week or egg white twice a week
Avoid
- Sugar, honey, jaggery, glucose, jam
- Sweets like laddu, burfi, payasam, desserts
- cornflour, custard, arrowroot
- Bakery produts
- fats such as ghee, butter, coconut oil
- roots and tubers such as potato, yam, colocasia, tapioca, sweet potato
- big bananas, pomegranate, mango, grapes, sapota, custard apple, wood apple, jackfruit
- dry fruits
- horlicks, bournvita
Recommended
- high fiber diet
- Whole pulses like grams, germinated pulses
- Whole wheat flour
- 3 meals, 3 snacks
