Review of Cloud Nine Hospital Bangalore

cloudnine

After spending 7months at a small hospital we finally deserved some luxury and care, so we chose Cloud nine hospital on old airport road Bangalore for the delivery of our child.

We chose the luxury package which costed us around 85000 and Dr Praveena Shenoy as our gynac after reading reviews on the internet. The hospital itself looked so amazing with excellent décor.

They have an au bon pain café at the entrance; a mom and me store to buy essential stuff and a photo studio. The ambiance of the place made us feel good.

During delivery we enjoyed all the luxuries offered to us by cloud nine. The rooms made us feel at home. The nurses were courteous. The lactation, physiotherapy and nutrition session were good. Even the food provided was good; it’s unbelievable that diet food can be made tasty.
I will write a separate article on my c section delivery and the hospital.

Overall a good experience with cloud nine and they were very kind to call us the next day after we reached home and find out if we were fine.

Cons: They don’t have a good canteen for people accompanying the patient. They need to go out or eat at a place which is for the staff, and the place is not that great. Au bon pain won’t cater to the Indian taste buds. So people like my mom had to wait for someone to bring something from outside.
It’s very difficult to get an appointment with Dr Praveena Shenoy and once we are there we need to wait for half a day, but it’s still worth it.

Rating: ****and half

Cloud nine Pharmacy Old Airport Bangalore : Sell near expiry Medicine

I visited Cloud nine Old Airport hospital last week for my baby’s vaccination .

It was very dangerous experience with buying medicine form the Pharmacy of cloud nine.

One of the medicine was having expiry date was Oct,2017 which was just after two months from today.
I asked them to give a recent stock of medicine which has much later date of expiry. They clearly denied that they don’t have any stock and event
that was the last stock from medicine company itself. I had no other option but believe their words. So I bought the medicine.

Then I went back and was waiting for doctor to inject the vaccine . Meanwhile I started verifying the medicine price printed on medicine and the one printed on the BILL given by the pharmacy. What I found was there is the price printed on Medicine pack was Rs.990 and on bill it was INR 1085. So I went back and asked them why the difference!! Then they said initially SORRY ,It was typing mistake etc.. As it was my turn to meet the doctor so I asked them to get answer ready when i come after meeting the doctor. When I returned they said — the price was actually of the new series of medicine . I asked to show one of them . What I see is the new stock of medicine has expiry date of OCT 2018 that is after one year from now.

So it is clear now that what they were telling before is a KIE that they dont have any recent stock of medicine. It was to clear/sell their old stock.

I was very angry , upset, felt helpless that these looters are cheating common people like us in the name of medicine , they dont even leave babies to apply their devil greed of money by all unethical practice. By the name of medicine, they do all dirty things and cheat people.

My request / suggestion for all people like me who visit this center, please be sure before you buy medicine from that store. Gunda/Loooters are sitting there.

And also , cloud nine doctors should write the vaccine on before time so we get time to buy medicine from outside genuine store and alos they give 10-15% disc ount . Why the hell I should but medicine from this Devils! These buggers are actualy suitable for potato seller as they are good at clearing old stock ! If it goes like that under the roof of cloud nine , both will appear to be seling potato again one day !!

Please dont take a chance for your (baby’s) life.

God bless you all. And for the pharmacy my message is “Go to HELL”

  3. If you want an expensive 3 star hotel get admitted here. This is the 2nd time when our experience with this hospital went bad. First time being a maternity specialty hospital they should have a person everyday to explain patients about the services and package. We went on a Sunday morning and were told there is nobody who can give this information today so drop your number we will call you. We did as told, but never got any response. We ignored it and went again after few days and the marketing lady explained us everything about their package.

According to their marketing staff who attended us when we went there for delivery package inquiry, this hospital operates 24/7 with doctors available at all times to attend to our emergency needs. We had an emergency and went their at 11pm (8th Aug, 2017) on a weekday. We straight went to the 2nd floor which is the only place opened that time as told by the security guard. At the reception when we asked for an emergency scan his response was that there is no doctor available now. We were shocked as to how come a maternity specialty hospital cannot have any doctors? Even none of the sisters cared to attend my wife and they were very casual and fine thinking they are doing their duty as expected. Receptionist asked us to go to Manipal hospital as they cannot help. Our doctor practices in both these hospitals and earlier we decided to come here for delivery, but now there is no doubt. They are charging as much as any other hospital in Bangalore but at least they should provide basic emergency and doctor facility if something goes wrong. Thankfully as soon as we entered Manipal Hospital Whitefield, sisters attended us called our doctor (over phone) inquired about us. Most importantly there was a doctor present in the labor room who helped us.

Although it has good ambiance, doesn’t look and feel like a hospital, nice courteous staff but if it cannot help a patient during emergency all of the above has no use as it failed in it’s most important service.

Guys please decide carefully before thinking about cloud nine Whitefield branch.

    Hi,

Please do not refer to Dr Anuradha S in Cloudnine Malleshwaram India as we had the worst experience ever with her, staff are non-cooperative and they feel that they are doing a great favor assisting to the patients.

The doctor feels that she is stressed out but still handling patients, charging heftily for 5-6 min that she takes for every consultation. The way she responds shows utter carelessness which is just the opposite for her profession. She has no right to treat a patient who is pregnant in the way she treated me in front of fellow patients and the whole reception yard with other visitors. Think she has forgotten all the protocols that are taught in the initial phase of her education and career.

And the attendees, who do they think of themselves, the way they act is so worst that it still holds no good to compare them with the government nurses they are far better.

We are not visiting the hospital based on any favor we are shelling out crazy amount of money and we expect the treatment to be upto the mark. The HR guys that are hired needs to be taught more things rather than just saying “please understand”, even after multiple concerns raised on every visit there was no action taken finally had to decide to back off and help myself from further slipping to depression which holds no value to the hospital.

Crazily money minded. Wishing that nobody should go through the inconvenience that I faced.

    Thanks.

I had an appointment @ Cloudnine Whitefield at 11.40 am today on 17/10/16. I received an SMS at 11.42 am that my appointment is cancelled by hospital due to non-availability of doctor. Is this a joke to you people????. I reached hospital after facing a horrible traffic jam in 1 hour with my pregnant wife, and then I am getting to know that the appointment is cancelled by hospital..????

This is unacceptable..utter rubbish and nonsense behaivour from a maternity hospital???? I seriously doubt your abilities to attend to emergencies like pregnancy and any other critical services…I am going to switch to another hospital because of this experience today.

Cloud nine is a money making establishment.
They charge Rs 600 for consulting Dr Kini in jayanagar. After waiting for 2 hours When you go for consultation you get to meet the Jr. Duty doctor who takes about half hour to understand your case file and gives you basic consultation. How fair is it to charge Rs 600 which is a senior Doctor consultation fee and without informing the patient having them to meet a junior Doctor???

When you actually get to meet Dr Kini he is hardly spends five mins with you to just check weight and ur bp. After that he has a standard dialogues enjoy your pregnancy and you are done in five mins. There is no Doctor patient rapport at all. You wait for hours to just meet this arrogant Doctor who has no interest in his patients. For this he is overhyped as the best gyneac.

After our package of four days they come and tell us we have to stay back for another day as baby has jaundice which is normal in all babies. We were told it’s very high and they had to start photo therapy immediately in reality just sunlight would have been a better option and charged us another 30K more. The next day the gyneac comes and says we can go home and they charged Rs 2000 for him to come and tell that. The paedatrician says we can’t go home as they have to do one more day of photo therapy but we decided o get the baby home which we did and baby was absolutely fine within five days. Though gyneac and paedatrician charges were included in the package they charged us extra. And in the 5 days my gyneac came twice to ask how am I doing and next to tell I can go home.
It is an overhyped hospital with an overhyped gyneac like Dr Kini trying to fool and cheat people for more money.

Did you go to the hospital for delivery or to enjoy food. :?:
I think you should have gone to a restaurant for delivery.

    • admin says:

Thanks for your comments Trisha. Definitely I went to deliver, but as a blogger I have to give an overall review with all factors instead of ONLY stressing on the operation theater and how I well the doctor performed the C section. But with plenty of options these days its best to go to a place which is perfect for the money you pay.

This review is around Cloudnine hospital, Gurgaon

Summary is : Don’t ever go to Cloud 9, Gurgaon even if that means changing your doctor.

Mine was a pathetic experience in Cloudnine, Gurgaon. I went there because the gynae I was seeing moved from Cradle to Clod 9. At the time of explaining the package(yes, you read it correctly “a package”) they make lot of commitments, like everything included in the package, special decoration, nurse visit twice after you you reach home, picture of the baby, additional tests for baby etc etc. We were lured by the promises which were made and after alot of confusion we finally chose Cloud 9 Gurgaon. But we were yet to see the actual truth: The final bill was 30k higher and none of the commitments were actually fulfilled.
    - No prenatal workshops
    - Total bill was 30k higher than the committed one.
    - Our discharge formalities were done one day before the discharge, when all the drips etc were removed and we were waiting for final bill, we were informed that our discharge was suppose to happen the next day.
    - Doctor visit was charged when doctor came in and only asked ” how am I doing”..this was physiotherapist. I don’t even know who was she but staff told me that she came and asked me “how was I?” This one question costed us Rs 750.
    - No car decoration
    - No nurse visit and we were not even asked if we needed one.

On top it when we talked about commitments made at the time of booking with Ms Sonali(the head of cloud 9, ggn), she asked us if we had anything in written. So, if u plan to go to them ensure that you take all commitments in written. Whatever Ms Sonali committed with we complained, she again went back on her words in next hour. :)

No commitments fulfilled in our case and infact Cloud 9 made our lifetime experience a bitter one. The only good part was nursing department. So, beware before going to Cloud9 Gurgaon.

This malleshwaram cloudnine hospital is not good.. all doctors and nurses are fraud there, they killed my babies, never ever go to this hospital, there is no value for lifes there, all cheaters are there in that hospital,..

    • admin says:

Im so sorry dear. Good you shared it with our readers.

    • Divya says:

I totally agree with you…They killed my son too and the reason was just the doctors negligence..it feels too bad..first my gynac dr manajula raghuveer’s negligence…she delayed the delivery kept trying for normal delivery..she cannotmake right judgements..n doesn know how to try also..she caused unnecessary trauma to the kid and this led oxygen deprivation to the baby..this led to his brain injury..tgen the paed shekharsubbaiah, kishore and shashibhushan..all of them suck..
They jus know to give vaccines and treat jaundice..anything apart from that they do not know wt to do..due to all this negligence we had watch our kid die..hospital did not let us know the extent of damge…the admin and the doctors..my god they did so much drama so that we wudn know..n called the police when we went to ask the doctor.

  12. vidya says:

Why cloud9 is taking so long time to launch in mumbai?

  13. Tashi says:

Cloudnine bangalore is worst in terms of services. Where doctor will advice you do this and do that test. At last , they disappear for 6 hours and let the patients wait there. When ask for alternative doctor, they refuse. Beside cost of MTP process is so expensive, total cost comes around 8 to 9 K and will let u wait like hell and at end of day they will give you two different tablet. So money is not worth with this hospital in terms of services etc. I better suggest people should try in manipal hospital where total cost around 3k and some private garnacologist in kormangala they are too professional with less cost and beside no more waiting. CLOUDNINE sucks.
