How to Care for Winter Clothes

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi Moms,

FotorCreated

How is the winter treating you? We have a very short winter in Bangalore for around 15 days, hence there is no point in buying new clothes for winter. So I usually pack our winter clothes in a box and put it away for the whole year and unbox  it only when the weather turns chill. But a big problem with these clothes is the lint.

I have always wanted to buy a lint remover but never thought it can really work. So every year I used some detergents that claim to remove lint, but it never worked. So most of the time I landed up throwing away winter clothes with too much lint. But this time I decided to buy a lint remover and all my clothes were as new as ever. Seriously Im not marketing a product here. I bought a lint remover from NOVA as it was quite cheap. You can buy even the Philips one i heard its good.

Just wash your winter clothes with some mild detergent, liquid detergents work best. I use Comfort fabric conditioner too after wash. Finally after drying, I used the lint remover to remove all the lint. Its just like a shaver, looks like a hair dryer. Just run it on cloth like an iron. It came as a boon this winter. All my winter clothes look new.

I even use it to remove lint from my other clothes and my kid’s socks. Works like magic, I missed buying one all these years. Hope you dont make the same mistake as me.

There are manual rollers too with sticky tapes and some other mechanisms. You can try that too.
