Today Ill review one of my favorite ladoos. I have been relishing all these years without knowing the benefits. Before that I’ll tell you what is dink or gond or antu as they call it here in Bangalore.
Edible gum or gond is beneficial for pregnant ladies and lactating mothers. It helps in strengthening the back and connective tissues. It is known to help with lactation and strengthening the uterus of nursing mothers.
But this gum cannot be eaten as it is. It is available in form of ladoos. These ladoos are quite rich and is made of dry fruits, dry coconut and ghee. It’s better than eating regular ladoos as its not deep fried. Only the edible gum is fried in ghee.

I have never made it at home, but I have seen this edible gum at MK retail stores in Bangalore.
The ladoos can be found in North Karnataka stores in Malleshwaram and Vijaynagar. If your on your way to Mysore or using the Mysore highway, buy them at Kamat Lokaruchi hotel. I have seen it in some sweet stores but I’m not sure if it has enough Antu. Try to make it on your own.
