Before my baby was born, I had no idea about any brand which makes baby products in India other than Johnsons because they are the only people who are active on Ads.

My neighbor suggested Dabur Lal Tail when my baby was very small. That was the same time that many people awere sking me to stop using Johnson Baby oil. So I tried this oil on my baby.

It was pungent smelling oil and had heating properties; you can feel the heat on your palms itself. Since it was summer my baby felt so uneasy and I stopped using this oil.

Here is an excerpt from their website:

Dabur Lal Tail is an Ayurvedic Baby massage oil made from time tested ayurvedic ingredients which has many proven benefits for the Baby. Its massage helps in strengthening baby’s bones and muscles and is proven safe and effective for better overall physical growth of babies.

Doctors from the Pediatrics department of Jawaharlal Nehru College conducted a clinical research under stringent rules and measures where the effect of massaging a baby with Dabur Lal Tail was compared with the effect of other massage oils, talcum powder and no massage. In the research, it was clearly proven that babies who were massaged daily with Dabur Lal Tail in comparison with no massage experienced 2 times faster increase in weight and height.

Clinical Research further proved the positive effects of Dabur Lal Tail massage in inducing better sleeping pattern in Neonates and Infants, which is very important for a baby’s development

Dabur Lal Tail developed by Dabur India Limited contains all natural ingredients like Till Tail, Ratanjyot, Shankha Pushpi, Camphor and Urad. As per the literature, Till Tail or Sesame Oil improves growth and post-massage sleep, Ratanjyot protects against skin infection, Shankha Pushpi cures general weakness, Camphor improves blood circulation and Urad nourishes muscles & bones

Recently I used the oil again as my almond oil got over and the heating property really worked for the climate in Bangalore now. Her dry skin was gone. And the smell really made her sleep for a long time after bath, the camphor really helped in the cold.

I still love my sweet almond oil but I use this oil too, Now I use it once in 2-3 days.

Do let me know your experience with this oil.
