Incase you have faced a miscarriage or you are a survivor of multiple miscarriages, do check for MTHFR mutation. This is a common problem which most doctors ignore until you face multiple miscarriages, Im telling you because I have faces this problem. Its the body’s disability to absorb folic acid and B vitamins. MTHFR has many more problems associated with it, but miscarriages and birth defects are something I want to cover.

What is MTHFR?

MTHFR stands for methyl-tetrahydrofolate reductase, it is an enzyme responsible for the process of methylation in our body.  There are many variations of MTHFR. Im short methylation is the process of converting biochemical compounds in the body. So people with this disprder find it very difficult to remove toxins from their body.

MTHFR can be easily treated with B12 and some other forms of B vitamins, also pregnant women will given a different form of folic acid that is more absorbable.

Home remedies:

  • Avoid all form of chemicals in your food, cosmetics and try to use organic products as much as possible.,
  • Eat lost of green leafy vegetables, as the body easily absorbs folic acid in greens.
  • Exercise and sweat out all the toxins.
