Hi Ladies,

After 6 months your baby needs other sources of food, breast milk alone won’t meet all the requirements of the body.
So I did research to find out some details on this. These are only approximate values.

Nutrient Breastmilk percentage First food percentage Source
Carbohydrate 70 30 Rice wheat potato
Protein 60 40 Curd, dal, milk
Calcium 90 10 Milk products, spinach
Iron 5 95 Dal, leafy vegetables, supplements
Zinc 30 70 Dal, leafy vegetables, supplements
Vitamin A 90 10 Carrots, spinach and yellow fruits
Vitamin D 10 90 (this one is based on sunlight exposure) Supplements such as ultra d 3

Hope this helps!!
