Can you tell us about your business? What is it about?
www.amhd.in is a multi brand Home Fashion e-commerce portal. Aapka Makaan Hamari Dukaan also does a lot of customization/personalization of regular & quirky products for individuals/corporate clients. It is a one stop shop if you wish do buy a gift for self/someone special, decorate/redecorate your home or just wanna indulge in e-retail therapy. No matter where you are in India, from the comfort of your home, office or elsewhere, our products are just a click away.
Were there any obstacles that you faced when you decided to pursue becoming a mompreneur?
I have always been someone very comfortable getting a paycheck at the end of the month; obviously then it was pretty jittery risking past earned savings to be on a road never travelled before. So after months of many mental wars & a bit of research, I decided to give it a shot. Work from home is pretty challenging as there are constant distractions versus sitting at a workstation in a corporate setup.
What are three traits that you think a mompreneur should have when starting their own business?
Patience, work-life balance, Positive attitude

Customers always appreciate value-for-money products however Fashion never comes cheap!
What inspired you to start your business?
For a change, I wanted to be the Boss. Also, my passion for home fashion is my profession now.
