Immunizations provides protection against serious diseases by developing immunity.
Immunizations are vaccines that contains weakened or “killed” versions of the bacteria or virus that causes a particular disease, which when injected or taken orally, the immune system attacks & hence stimulates the body to produce antibodies.
Immunization is practical & economical way to prevent the kids from having diseases.Hence,it is a very important part of baby healthcare. Yet there are many parents, who have doubts in their mind regarding immunization, that may be child may develop , side effects or some other complications.
There are two phases of immunization.
Firstly vaccines are given to develop immunity in babies , against certain diseases.. With time immunity gets reduced , hence to increase it booster dose is given.
Generally parents give their babies , primary immunization , but later on , forget to give the booster dose . Giving the booster dose is as important as giving the primary vaccination. It is always a good idea to set the reminder for the vaccination date.
If your child has fever or any serious illness , vaccination should not be done.
