Banana Chapatti/Roti Recipe

Print Friendly

Hello Mommies,

Do you have a fussy eater at home who does not like his fruits? You can try this banana roti, it is very easy to make.
My LO could not digest normal rotis, so we had to make soft rotis and since she does not like fruits I had to try this one. Im really sorry that I could not click a picture of the rotis, it looks just like your normal rotis.
Taste wise it is not very sweet, you can add jaggery powder if you want.

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Water
  • Ghee for frying

Mash a ripe banana and add wheat flour (with a pinch of salt) to it and knead well. Add more flour if the batter is sticky. You may add water for binding. Now roll out rotis and fry with ghee.

P.s : The rotis have to be made immediately as it might turn brown because of the bananas. It will help kids with constipation problems

Babies above 10 months can be given this roti.

Hope this post helped you.. Please Like our Facebook page for regular updates. Thankyou!

Hi Shreya you should start milk only after 1 year. For breakfast try homemade cereal, I have the recipe in the blog, boil it with jaggery and add formula milk powder to it.
You can give them roti bits dipped in any sabji you eat which is less spicy. Some kids like what we eat. I started giving my daughter everything.
For lunch rice with dal and little rasam or some sabji for taste. You can try my pasta and broccoli soup recipes.
Feed cheese slice pieces. Fruit purees with yogurt.
Feed him yogurt in the evening. And feed a heavy dinner so that he does not wake up. Try cheesy pasta for dinner.
Cerelac Shishu Ahar is also good. Sadly nowadays kids also have taste buds n choice so we need to add variety to their food.
Try idly n dosa too.. Even if he does not have teeth small bits they can swallow.
    Mashed potato is also grt.
For evenin snack you can feed marie arrowroot biscuit dipped in hot water or milk.
