Hi Moms,
Recently my daughter developed cough and cold all of a sudden, and we were really worried. We had not taken her out in a long time. But the doctor told us that it is allergy caused by dust mites, then it struck me that we removed some old mattresses and she instantly jumped and payed on it.
What are dust mites?
Dust mites are microscopic organisms which live on house dust and the protein and faeces from their body, when inhaled causes allergy. They reside on dust in old carpets and mattresses. These dust mites feed on dead skin from our body, hence expect to find it in places which contacts the skin such as towels, blankets etc. Since we regularly wash our blankets and curtains these reside in old stuff that is kept aside. It is also found in soft toys.
