10 Things to Do in Singapore with kids

Singapore is a perfect location for kids. The country has world class infrastructure and its extremely convenient to hang out with kids, be it transport or tourist attractions, there is lot of stuff for kids. This is one place they will love because its so organized and well maintained.

Travel is extremely convenient, you have plenty of buses to reach the metros and metros are extremely convenient, the people there will offer your their seat instantly if your with a kid. Even the taxis are reasonable.

Here are my top Picks

Singapore Zoo

This is one of my most favorite zoos in the world. Just because its so organized and clean, it has clear maps. I love the shows especially the dolphin show and the shows that happen in the amphitheater in the night. The night safari is an experience all together. Singapore zoo is a must visit with kids.

Sentosa Island

Its an entire world all together. You need to get there by cable car which gives an awesome view of the city. There are plenty of rides and a beach. They have a light show on the beach during evenings. Sentosa just cant be seen in one day. They have a SEA aquarium which houses over 100000 marine life. Its has the most popular underwater world which is amazing. A little smaller than the one in Bangkok.

Universal Studios

This is a fantasy world for kids, they can live out of their movies. They can see movie themes like Jurassic Park and Transformers.

Snow City

Singapore has its own snow city similar to Ski Dubai which I have reviewed earlier. All the rides are similar. But you can skip this one is you have seen the one in Dubai.

Botanic Gardens

There are lots of activities for kids along with learning of plants and orchids. The place is extremely beautiful with a lake.

Jurong Bird Park

This is one of our family’s favorite place. Its one of the largest bird park we have seen. The have bird shows and you can click pictures with the birds.

Parks

You can visit Mount Faber Park and East Coast Park. You can cycle near the coast. You can hire cycles and play. Street food is round the corner. Indian restaurant Komala’s  is close by.

Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum

It is located in the Chinese Garden. Kids can spend time learning about turtles and tortoises.

River Boat Ride

You can take your kids on a boat ride for a spectacular view of the city and the Merlion.

Food

You will find Indian restaurants everywhere in Singapore. It would be cheaper to eat at Indian stalls in food courts. Little India has a lot of options from mid range to high end Indian restaurants. Temples provide free food during weekends. Kids will find all their favorite chains like MC Donalds, KFC and Pizza Hut. Kids will love Breadtalks a bread shop which you will find at all malls, they can pick their own pieces of bread with interesting shapes.
